How to Look Stylish in Cold Weather

How to Look Stylish in Cold Weather

Woman must look good no matter what the weather is like. Now, with winter cold and storms it is harder to choose clothing that is both warm and stylish, but quite possible if you follow our simple rules.

1. Invest in one sturdy, and fashionable winter jacket. Choose one that looks good on you, Also be sure to buy a coat that is appropriate for your area's weather. For example, someone living in Chicago will need a heavier coat than a person living in Charlotte.

2. Buy a versatile and cute hat. Although it's better if you have different styles and colors of hats, having one main-stay can instantly pull together your look. Ideally, you should purchase a neutral-toned hat that complements your coat

3. Add a scarf! Especially windy days will have you wishing you had on three pairs of long underwear and woolly socks if you aren't dressed in a way that can protect you from the winter elements. One way you can protect yourself and keep yourself looking fashionable is with a scarf. Not only are they fairly inexpensive, they can be purchased in a variety of fabrics, colors, and styles. With a scarf, you can show your personality and keep your body heat in your jacket. Scarves will make you look put together, and many can even be worn inside

Winter Fashion for Women

Add color to your wardrobe this season. Time is just right to experiment with brighter yet elegant and graceful shades of blues, greens, purples and reds. While browns, beiges, blacks and whites will always remain in fashion, focus this season is on patterns and styles more than on colors alone. Brighter colors though are a huge hit. Metallic too are showing prominence.

While these are only recommendations, feel free to get creative and make a personal style statement

Fashion Tips

   Elements of Style

Do...
* Try something that's "not you" once in a while.
* Adapt trends so that they work for you--and adapt is the key word
   here. A plaid minikilt isn't for everyone, for example. But if you love
   the look, try a longer plaid skirt.
* Hold on to a few of your favorite outdated pieces. You never know!
* Add a couple of stylish, inexpensive things to your wardrobe each season.

Don't...
* Force yourself to wear something for somebody else.
* Dress like a teenager.
* Mix two seasons in one outfit.
* Wear really casual shorts or beach sandals on dress-down Fridays.

Color

Wear black with navy. Trust us! Both of them also go with...
* cream * white * beige * brown
...and the combinations are timelessly elegant.

Don't wear too many colors at once.

If you find an inexpensive, basic item that fits well, buy it in several colors.
